Runway the “Kashmir” style!
New Delhi- When guests arrived at Audi Delhi South this Friday 24th Jan, they asked themselves just one question- “Are we transported to the heavenly greens of Kashmir”?

The evening saw a magnificent and exclusive launch of celebrated designer Dhruv Bandwal’s Autumn Winter 2020 collection named Koshur. The collection was inspired by the lifestyle of Kashmiri women, done in an Indo-contemporary way.

Koshur (persian term meaning Kashmir) is a unique collection presented by The Rising Wizards.
The journey started in the fall of 2018 at SSMD school of Design when Dhruv Bandwal began to accept the reality of Kashmir engraved under the corners of biases and judgements. He turned very inquisitive in finding a strong and pure antidote to the baseless judgements about Kashmiri women. Koshur is a tribute to the women of Kahmir who have in some way had an impact on the country.
The rising wizards (TRW) presented Dhruv Bandwal in this couture show. Dr Charu Dutt Arora (founder and managing director of TRW) crossed paths with Dhruv for the first time in 2016 . Dr Charu Dutt is a board certified doctor trained from Harvard medical school, USA ,always had knack for fashion and styling since childhood. Within the span of 9 months he has put TRW to an international level where they organise shows, fashion weeks, international pageants and are also constantly involved in model management. He witnessed Dhruv’s collection for the first time in 2016 and immediately fell in love with his work because of which he started reaching out to him. As fate would have it , the two started meeting at social events and in the blink of the eye their bond of professionalism turned into an inseparable brotherhood.

Dhruv Bandwal is an Indian contemporary fashion designer who is renowned globally for his extravagancy in the industry. He owes his success and creativity to his mother, who instilled in him the love and appreciation of art and fashion from a very young age. Brought up in the deeply rooted cultural lands of Rajasthan and being surrounded by the colourful and ethnic garments made him dream to open his own fashion label and be a fashion designer at a very stage in his life. All his previous collections have received much appreciation and positive response from the nation and worldwide.
The Rising Wizards ( a company chaired by Mr Rajiv Arora and Dr Charu Dutt Arora) coming from a non fashion background which has created a niche for itself , is now sponsoring Dhruv Bandwal’s upcoming collection named Koshur.
The show took place at Audi Delhi South and was directed by international grooming expert and choreographer Liza Varma. They also promoted the idea of education for children with learning disabiities by collaborating with Read On India. The evening saw some magnificent jewels by
Vivaarna (an eponymous brand of Malhotra Jewellers, Gurgaon). With guests from fashion industry, royalities, healthcare and business stalwarts, the evening was a mesmerizing one. The show was followed by an afterparty promoted by Lacreme Talents.
